Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This is a template policy, not legal advice. It's written to reflect how Utex actually works, but you should have a solicitor review it before relying on it for a live product handling personal data.

1. Who we are

Utex is a product of Studio Utexo ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it — both if you're a Utex customer, and if you're a contact we've sourced on behalf of a customer.

2. What we collect

From customers

From sourced business contacts

3. Why we process it

Customer data is processed to provide the Utex service: running searches, sending and tracking campaigns, and billing. Business contact data is processed under legitimate interests for B2B marketing purposes, consistent with UK GDPR and PECR, with every message including a working unsubscribe mechanism.

4. Data retention

Lead and contact data is retained according to the retention period set in each customer's account settings (30 days, 90 days, 1 year, or indefinite). Account and billing data is retained for as long as the account is active, plus any period required by law.

5. Your rights

If you're a business contact who has received an email via Utex, you can unsubscribe using the link in any message, or request removal directly — see our GDPR page for the full list of data subject rights and how to exercise them.

6. Third parties

We use infrastructure providers (e.g. Cloudflare) to run the service, and public registers (e.g. Companies House) as a data source. We don't sell contact data to third parties.

7. Security

Data is stored on infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access to customer data is limited to what's needed to operate and support the service.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy or a data request: contact us or email privacy@studioutex.com.
